We are writing to encourage you to reach out to all Americans, regardless of ethnic background. While it is important for Pakistani Americans to give and give generously, we believe that the community should also reach out to other Americans. We know that some of you have already begun to do so.
To facilitate this, we have produced the attached flyer. This document -- with its message and suggested list of relief agencies -- was drafted with a target audience of all Americans in mind.
Now, here's where you come in.
We ask you to take one or more of the following steps:
- Forward this flyer far and wide to your family, friends, school chums, work colleagues, employer, etc with a personal note from you encouraging them to consider helping the needy from your part of the world.
- If you are organizing a fundraising event, please make copies of the flyer and distribute to people in attendance.
- If you maintain a website, we ask that you post this (or at least the first page with a hyperlink to the full document) on your organization's website.
