Only winterised family tents, medicines, possibly thick blankets, sweaters and jackets are being accepted for donation. Logistics and capacity are prevent the distribution of other goods (that are already available within Pakistan).

If you are managing shipments on your own, this New York-based website has some helpful information. 

There are still plenty of ways you can help:

• Continue sending cash donations
• Lobby for more helicopters to airlift relief supplies
  
• Attend the one-month anniversary vigil
  
• Write to your local congressman and senator for greater US support
  
• Get donations from corporations (including your employer)
• Educate yourself on current events and talk to your community
• Hold awareness and fundraiser events in your community
• Research long-term reconstruction investments and opportunities
