I have been impressed by the level of activity and charity generated by the community in response to the tragic  earthquake in Pakistan. In these times, it is imperative that we all work together and give the most that we can to the relief and reconstruction effort. For updated information on the donations to the President's Relief Fund please visit our website.

We are writing to encourage you to reach out to all Americans, regardless of ethnic background. While it is important for Pakistani Americans to give and give generously, we believe that the community should also reach out to other Americans. We know that some of you have already begun to do so.

To facilitate this, we have produced the attached flyer. This document -- with its message and suggested list of relief agencies -- was drafted with a target audience of all Americans in mind.

Now, here's where you come in.  

We ask you to take one or more of the following steps:

There are a lot of efforts going on all over the Greater DC area and, indeed, all over the world. If you are involved in a project, whether it's a fundraiser, goods collection, or awareness campaign there is opportunity connect with like-minded individuals. Use the main blog to post ideas or create a starting point for collaboration. Under "Blog topics" use categories, separated by commas, already posted in order to increase the chance of your post being read.
